Street Work

Our street Preacher Michael evangelises in Beverley East Yorkshire three times a week. Spreading the good news of Jesus. He has an incredible journey, his testimony is one of great loss, and how out of this loss he turned to Jesus for comfort.

Youth Group

Outreach to the local youth community is always high on our agenda...contact us to see how you can get involved. Making a difference in the lives of young people is the future of the church. Fridays 7pm - 9pm (school Terms)

Foodbank

We stock our pantry to offer emergency aid to the local community in these difficult times we all are facing.

Alpha

This year we have both Adult & Youth Alpha session running at the same time.

Just before the Easter period, our neighbour, changed her car. She had a decent car, a small Audi that did it’s job well but didn’t float her boat. She didn’t get a thrill from driving it. She decided she wanted a classic car that stood out and looked a bit different to the average car in the street.

She knew what she wanted and searched the web. The very car was available but in Wales, transport of some kind had to be arranged. One way or another the car arrived and Husband and wife set about giving it a good clean and polish.
As I was passing I stopped to have a word with them and commented on the new vehicle. Looks rather nice I said. Ah well, said the Husband, it’s not all he said it was. There is a fair amount of body filler and a few rust spots. The inside is filthy too, added his wife.

By the time they had finished, the car was standing on the drive, shining in the sun. Chrome and windows gleaming as well as the body work. Not a blemish to be seen
That is what is available to us because of Easter. I don’t mean we need a lot of car products rubbed into us. If we accept Jesus’ sacrifice and God’s grace, God will see Jesus our saviour when he looks at us. He will ignore the blemished inner being because we are washed clean by Jesus. God, in His grace, accepts us as brothers and sisters of Jesus with a place secured in Heaven.
What could be better than that. Jesus is perfect, straight from the showroom 

" He chooses not to see our faults or remember our blemishes"

Jesus says, 15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” 19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. Mark 16:15-20
